OwnerTkf Software Consulting May 1997 - Feb 2015A series of opportunities that arose over time allowing me to maintain skills in older technologies or learn new skills in emerging technologies. Most projects were small in scope and didn’t take more than a few hours a week after the initial ramp-up. • Brookline Bank (02/2002 – 02/2005, October 2007-- May 2015). Converted “COBOL” based/formatted data (car loan data) from FISERV into a simple format Essentially the data had records that were 7000+ bytes long, that contained 1400 unique fields. Created a conversion program that used COBOL copybooks, and broke data out into individual fields. The result was then written into a MS Access DB. Created a series of reports; Credit Analyst Overrides, Delinquencies, New Dealers, Booking Details Reports, Credit Score Distribution (by dealer and credit analyst), etc. Utilized VB6, Office XP (Excel, MS Access).• Framingham Public Schools – 21st Century Program (11/2006 – 06/2012) Developed a Microsoft Access application that allows for the users to manage the after school program. The application was used in 5 schools, functions: manage class assignments, student attendance, instructor payroll, & detailed analytical reports.• The Recovery Group (Spring 2001). TRG was responsible for managing BankVest Capitals remaining assets (including defaulted leases). Created the necessary code to extract and build datasets directly from the legacy Sybase database. Built a custom MS Access db and Microsoft word templates that would allow TRG’s collectors to format Payment Histories & Collection Notes.• eCredit (11/2000 – 01/2001). Utilized as a resource to QA/test eCredits EFE product as well as creating detail specifications outlining deficiencies found and corrective actions to take. Created a “Road Map” for the EFE product.• Data General (05/1997 – 11/1999): Provided on-call support during quarter closes, & adhoc requests for DG’s O/E systems. Mapped out Y2K strategy (Identifying, Planning and Testing) for the O/E system.

Senior Software ConsultantEfoundry Corp Jun 2007 - Sep 2008Concord, Ma, UsAt eFoundry there were plenty of opportunities to wear multiple hats & fill multiple roles. My role with each engagement may have included / was not limited to: in-depth business analysis and requirements gathering, project management, forensic analysis of legacy app’s & data, managing client relationships/expectations, sales support: marketing/sales calls/prospecting, evaluation of 3rd party products for integration into proposed solutions and application development. Representative project below (others available upon request)eFoundry Client: Boston Center for Adult EducationPrimary Activity: “provide educational opportunities for adults that foster personal and professional development”. BCAE offered 3000 courses/events each year, 1,500 instructors & ~25,000 students each year.Situation: Legacy application(s) required too many manual steps to get populate data to their website. Management of courses, students and instructors was overwhelming. There were too many manual processes being used that prevented data from being integrated with their primary application. Legacy application did not communicate well with the client’s financial application. Solution: Design an application that would migrate/transform the client’s legacy data into a new app that would be all-inclusive and automate all the manual processes resulting in one contiguous / robust application. Requirements gathered via interviews, review of legacy data & applications. Clients Oracle database was retained, sql/scripts created/run to identify and clean bad data, create new tables and enforce referential integrity. Created a course taxonomy with G/L data which bridged the gap to the client’s financial application. Populating content to client website now takes seconds.
