Hello, I am Taehyun. As a designer with a transportation design background, my goal is to come up with something to influence the world around us in a convenient way. Through the experience at LUCID motors, I’ve broadened my understanding of the future transportation systems and how autonomy will influence our lives. Most importantly, during the internship I gained real world experience in the studio. I participated designing the future vehicle as well as LUCID Air detail parts such as headlight, taillight, rocker panel and the door handle. Working at a studio where design and engineering teams work together closely I strengthened my work, introducing an engineering-based perspective. I realize the conversation between design and feasibility is important to becoming a successful designer.One of the things that interests me these days is solving the First and Last Mile Problem. The world is becoming more complicated and we need simple solutions to resolve complex problems. I personally think the First and Last mile vehicle (electric scooter or electric bicycle) combined with an autonomous rideshare vehicle will have a huge impact around the world and solve a lot of problems that current transportation has.I always have a positive attitude and endeavor to do my duty. My motto is “NEVER GIVE UP" and it has helped me achieve many of the goals I have set for myself throughout my education.
