The age group I led were the twelve and thirteen year-old girls at YMCA Camp Kon-O-Kwee. one of the main responsibilities in this position was scheduling for six total weeks. These schedules included day to day activities along with my staffs hours off, days off, and covering schedules. This age group had the opportunity to go on two off of camp trips to McConnell's Mills State Park and Moraine State Park. For each trip I needed to created two even lists, make sure the buses were booked, prepare meal requests, and get the correct medicines for each child attending. • Ymca
Counselor For Camp Hot To Clot
    Ymca Aug 2011 - Aug 2015
    Fombell' Pa
I have worked for Camp Hot to Clot for nearly five years during each summer. This camp is a camp for hemophiliacs and their siblings. During this camp, I was able to work with a group of kids that astounded me each and everyday. These children overcame challenges that in the past were inconceivable to other with bleeding disorders. Each summer i have been granted the opportunity to "stick myself," which is when I am able to infuse with a saline solution in a manner that is exactly how my campers infuse with the factor they are missing which allows their blood to clot. This experience has been one of the most rewarding of all as I can relate to the struggles my campers face everyday.
  • Slippery Rock University

    Slippery Rock, Pa
In this position, I was mainly in charge of over seeing five directors. This entailed one on ones with them weekly, attending all their meetings, and approving larger decisions along with my advisor. I took care of the entire budget, including creating and submitting payment requests and making sure our budget is being used appropriately. I also created a committee member development piece, that enhanced members experience beyond working our shows to bettering themselves and their leadership skills. Beyond creating future leaders of the Slippery Rock campus, I had the duty of budgeting over $250,000.00 for the 2015-2016 school year for the program board. This entailed budgeting the money based on unexpected expenses we incurred and where money worked well from the budget we had at the time. we received a 10% raise in budget so, i also had to work with my advisor and executive board to decide where the additional money would be utilized best. Based on these two aspects alone, this has been the most outstanding opportunity college has presented me and I couldn't be more grateful for it.
