Worked in the chemistry department performing quality control testing on contact lens care solutions. Duties included testing raw materials and finished products to ensure they conformed to specifications, performing stability testing, investigating customer complaints, and contributing towards studies validating the performance of production equipment.

Worked in the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Duties included conducting research and writing a manuscript on the use of a bacterially-produced hydroxyapatite for the remediation of radioactive contaminants (strontium-90 and cobalt-60) from ground-, surface-, and seawaters. Also supported MSc students with laboratory work for dissertation projects.
