Has spent 30 years working and living in Japan, with 20+ years in Asset Management, Brokerage and Fund Services business. Brings more than 15 years management experience in IT and Operations, most recently with State Street Trust and Banking (SSTB) in Japan as the Head of Client Services Operations. During a 6-year period with SSTB was responsible for fund service operations leading and overseeing the teams across Tokyo, Fukuoka and Hangzhou, a global operations hub in China. This covers the day-to-day deliverables, client relationship management for 10+ clients with extended responsibilities for new client and new product on-boarding. Prior to joining SSTB, during an 8-year period with Nikko Asset Management (NAM) was responsible for leading the Operations, IT, Operational Risk and Fund Performance Analysis. Successfully delivered the first full operations outsourcing in Japan in 2010. In 2011, successfully delivered the operations transition of the newly acquired companies in Australia and New Zealand. After relocating to Singapore in 2012, led the local IT & Operations team and successfully delivered post-acquisition integration and operations outsourcing.Brings broad expertise in regulations and local practices within Japan, Singapore and Australia. Possesses an excellent and proven record of project management, establishes and delivers complex business critical programmes including operations outsourcing, post-acquisition integration, IT & operations due diligence, vendor management and negotiation, defines and implements strategic operating model, new products on-boarding and has considerable working experience in global environment and organization. Has a strong IT background with extensive experience in asset management & brokerage business and fluent in Japanese, English and Chinese (Mandarin and Hokkien). Strong leadership skills combined with team-oriented style generate significant contribution to results as well as respect from senior management team and external professionals.Started with Fidelity Investment Japan and roles included: implemented the IT and operational platforms for the Retail Fund throughout the “Japanese Financial Bigbang” in the late 1990s, the Defined Contribution in the early 2000s, also implemented the operational flow for Fidelity Korea in 2004.Holds a master’s degree in Information Engineering from the University of Tsukuba, Japan under the auspices of the Ministry of Education Japan, current Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
