Remit includes leading on the Contaminated Land Team of London Borough of Croydon and chairing the South London Cluster Group of local authorities, business development and providing verification of and guidance on site investigations (under PartIIA and PPS23), risk assessments and remediation schemes on a variety of contaminated land issues.

This involved undertaking site investigations and risk assessments, undertaking the design of the remediation and preparing remedial action plans (Remediation Techniques using Biopile Treatment). Project management of investigative and remedial capacities aided by a large team of scientists.BAA Edinburgh Airport, BAA.Assessment of a kerosene spill in the Fire Training Ground of Edinburgh Airport, involving soil investigations and groundwater analysis, quantitative risk assessment and remedial action plan development. Project management of investigation aided by a team of four geologists/scientists.North Lanarkshire Council - Variety of Contaminated Land Projects.Wide ranging consultancy advice to North Lanarkshire Council, covering Part IIA contaminated land issues and planning and development for vacant and derelict land. This also involved undertaking site investigations and risk assessments, undertaking the design of the remediation and preparing remedial action plans and managing the Annual Monitoring (priced up to £100,000) Scheme for Balloch and Kilsyth former landfill sites.Former landfill Site - Balloch Roundabout, North Lanarkshire CouncilPart IIA Contaminated Land Risk Assessment. Groundwater and Landfill Gas Risk Assessment (RBCA, P20 and GasSim) Specialist for the former landfill. Alcan UK Ltd - Contaminated Land Investigation and Risk Assessment.This involved a large scale investigation and risks assessments of former smelter in Scotland.

Environmental Scientist, employed to design and oversee site contamination investigations and remediation methodologies. Experience includes assessment of landfill gas and leachate regimes, basic gas dispersion modelling, review of groundwater monitoring and chemical analysis results, validation reporting of remediation works.

Environmental Consultant in Refinery Operations Units. Conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment of Contaminated Land and Groundwater Pollution, associated with migration of petroleum products on the surrounding environment. Methods of Remediation and Reclamation were designed and proposed.

Advisor on the reclamation and development of a rural area. As part of the remediation design for the development, carried out an assessment of leachate migration potential from the adjacent landfill, assessment of leachate impacts on groundwater, produced landfill gas dispersion and dilution calculations to demonstrate the negligible risk associated with gas emissions from the site. Assessment of the extent and distribution of hydrocarbon contamination across the site.

Conducted Risk Assessments using various methodologies (similar to RBCA, R&D20, ConSim), involvement on projects including the construction of a sewage and wastewater treatment plant and biological treatment plant. General responsibilities included the adaptation of European Legislation and the development of business strategies into national level.

Employed part-time as an Environmental Consultant on an Environmental Impact Assessment of the Natural Gas use and the reduction of atmospheric pollution. Carried out a Cost Benefit Analysis of the substitution of fuels with natural gas in national grid. Developed economical strategies related to Sector of Energy and Environment.
