Lead program core teams to implement program strategy and execute product development plans to provide value to the company and our patients. The position influences the company significantly, and has a major impact on the entire corporation via program success, related financial planning, management, and budgeting. Influence also is significant in the area of Product Development success rates, efficiencies, and overall portfolio management activities (planning, managing, allocating, and tracking progress to plans). Successfully led teams through preclinical development, IND/CTA, clinical development, BLA/MAA, and lifecycle development stages. Specific focus on rare diseases, genetic diseases, metabolic disorders, neurologic disease, and systemic and brain delivery of protein therapeutics. ·Responsibilities include the quantitative and qualitative analysis of sales, client, competitor and market research data. Utilize primary research, IMS products, and other secondary data sources.·Develop reports and recommendations that facilitate effective decision making for the maximization of product opportunities. Work with marketing team promoting three products for hematological malignancies marketed to hematologists/oncologists and dermatologists. ·Examine market trends, customer segments and competitive dynamics to produce routine and ad hoc product performance reports for use by Marketing, Sales and Senior Management. ·Report on key performance indicators that will act to measure the overall achievement of corporate and product goals.·Manage and communicate results of primary research projects. ·Perform market assessments including patient based forecasting, competitive landscape, and current medical practice.

Focus on product development and competition.· Worked directly with VP of Sales and Marketing to identify new market opportunities, growth areas, and means to maximize opportunity within current areas of focus.· Independently developed market research reports including competitive landscape, market trends, current and potential customers, and product applications. Presented findings, analysis, and recommendations to senior management both orally and in written reports. · Defined marketing specifications for two new laboratory research instrument products for the company.

- Worked with process development team to optimize, produce, and harvest a Flavobacterium bacterial fermentation process for a biopharmaceutical protein product.- Performed fermentation experiments for process characterization and bioreactor comparability studies. Rapidly learned protocols and readily executed hands on tasks to complete experiments.- Responsible for reagent and equipment preparation, sterilization, inoculation, operation and control of two 5-liter bioreactor systems, as well as initial protein purification steps to harvest product.

- Coordinated preclinical studies in immune tolerance induction in a small animal model to support enzyme replacement therapy for MPS I, a fatal genetic disease in children.- Executed all phases of study; planned experiments, administered treatment and animal care, managed resources, performed biochemical monitoring assays, analyzed and communicated results. - Managed personnel as lead research associate. Aided in hiring decisions and training of new hires.- Drove forward the stalled project, learned quickly and achieved successful results in the first six months.- Applied new knowledge to design experiments through learning on the job and assimilating information from the literature. - Actively involved in determining direction of experiments based on previous results.- Presented research results at a scientific meeting and in publication.- Inventor on patent application associated with this work.
