I was a member of the HW Test Team which tests all of AT&T's consumer-facing products including broadband gateways, wired and wireless network devices, outdoor antennas, and in-home distribution accessories.• Lead test engineer for new fiber broadband gateway product and several digital LNB (outdoor receiver) products• Coordinates cycle testing within HW Test Team's subgroups (Wi-Fi, Coexistence, General)• Reviews, executes, and provides feedback on the test procedures • Analyzes test results & makes recommendations to Product Development Team• Documents results from tests performed and communicates the results to product managers and OEM partners• Writes clear and precise defect reports as required for identified hardware defects based on test results using JIRA and HP Quality Center.• Tested common RF parameters (gain, noise figure, BER, MER/SNR, IMD, phase noise) using FSK, 8PSK, & QPSK signals• Automated manual RF tests using VB.NET using a variety of connection technologies (GPIB, VISA, TCP/IP, RS-232/485, and USB). Ran BIST scripts on set top box SoC's.• Familiar with and/or automated the following test equipment: Temperature chambers, RF vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, and network traffic generators (IXIA, Spirent) and software tools (Wireshark, iperf, etc)

• Held day to day responsibility of the technical aspects relating to the unit build and testing. Technical aspects include a wide range of build manufacturing processes, precision mechanical tolerances, RF & high voltage electrical test processes, and automated test software issues• Built RF test systems using common passive microwave components including: waveguide couplers, isolators, filters, splitters, and pyramidal horn antennas• Tested common RF parameters (VSWR, gain, power, noise figure, NPR, spurious, IMD, EMI/EMC) • Modernized the EMI/EMC Test Lab’s test process and software• Designed and implemented a low cost RF aging test station that could save the company thousands of dollars in capital equipment and bench top space• Authored several apps in Visual Basic and in Excel to assist fellow test engineers in performing routine tasks faster• Led several small groups to investigate improvements in test processes and procedures• Generated and maintained official program manufacturing & test documentation • Conducted test readiness reviews to ensure that product was ready to be tested• Generated unit end item data reports, ship set trend data, and test failure reports for Customers• Interfaced with vendors (on-site and off-site) to procure test equipment and materials

• Assisted in the development of the company’s 18 GHz transceiver designs that integrated MMICs and other microwave components. • Simulated portions of mmW and analog circuitry on Microwave Office and PSPICE, and performed subsystem gain budgets using Microsoft Excel.• Evaluated filter designs and MMIC amplifiers (chip-and-wire fixturing) over temperature.• Procured parts from vendors for general evaluation and for use in breadboard designs.• Tested and debugged transceiver prototype units. Familiar with various types of RF test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Noise Figure Analyzer, Power Meter) from HP/Agilent and Anritsu. Used VEE-based test routines to calibrate and test transceivers.

• Supported delivery of C-, Ku-, and Ka-band channelized amplifier units, linearized traveling-wave-tube amplifier (LTWTA) units, and power-combined TWT amplifier units through test anomaly resolution, unit-level test data review, test data summarization and trending.• Developed and maintained official test procedures and performance specifications for units at both unit and module levels.• Performed worst-case performance analyses of aforementioned subsystems through simulations and gain budgets using Microsoft Excel and VBA.
