Supervisory role on the waterfront at one of the top summer camps in the nation. My role as the sailing team supervisor included duties such as: - Planing weekly employee schedules. - Ensuring my employees had opportunities for continuous professional development. - Coordinated the teaching syllabus for a range of sailing abilities. - Bosuns duties such as repairing hulls and boat components.

Sales associate role.; Developed my knowledge within the outdoor retail industry and skills as a ski boot fitter/Technician. My Other duties included:-Sales, I have developed my product knowledge, sales approach and closing techniques throughout my time at this establishment. -Footwear, On top of Ski boot fitting I have also developed a plethora of skills and knowledge regarding walking boots and running shoes. My University degree has made this side of my job very interesting investigating common biomechanical issues customers may have with footwear. -Web design/E-commerce, Set up the website for the Inverness store using Shopify. -Basic ski repair and technician work.

This job consisted of 24-hour child-care. As a sailing instructor, we had all ages of children (6-15 years) come to the sailing centre every day. My main duties included:-Teaching children of all ages and abilities how to sail. During the two week sessions, we would have a select number of children come back to the sailing centre to try to improve further by completing a selected syllabus/curriculum. -Repairs and maintenance of the boats and watersports equipment. Having had previous experience in boat maintenance, I often found myself repairing the equipment.-Assisting with the curriculum content. During staff training, we created the syllabus/curriculum the children would have to complete and follow in order to earn badges. -Enhancing children's development of the water in the cabin and around the rest of the camp. When I wasn't sailing I was responsible for 6-10 children in a cabin. - Work together with 60 team members to ensure the children received the best care and had the best time. I was due to be rehired as the Lead Sailor for 2020, however, the Covid-19 pandemic prevented this.

Hired as a sailing instructor midseason, my duties as an instructor were mostly with children teaching RYA stage 2. However, my other duties included. -Race coaching adults and children. -Beach work. This involved assisting guests in and out of the water, Rigging boats and Boards along with any other duties that were required. -Boat repairs. Having proved myself as a handy and knowledgeable sailor I was entrusted with repairs to the boats.
