Providing leadership and direction for VDOT’s Information Technology Division, including oversight of applications, infrastructure, communications, operations, architecture, enterprise data management, governance, strategic planning and financial management.

Providing strategic enterprise architecture planning by ensuring business, data, application and technical architectures are consistent with VDOT's long term direction.Managing a staff of 3 Supervisors and 30+ employees. Services provided by our team include solution design and project estimation for all IT projects at VDOT, creation and maintenance of enterprise architecture domain models, standards and patterns and delivery of data services on multiple platforms including ESRI, Business Objects, Tableau and Power BI. Maintaining awareness of new technologies and advising VDOT of their potential application.Prototyping innovative solutions to ensure success of architectural roadmaps and implementing a Services Oriented Architecture. Directing and prioritizing assignment of staff, initiatives and resources to appropriate program areas to meet divisional and agency strategic goals. Actively contributing value to the decision-making responsibilities of the ITD management team. Managing unit yearly budget and ongoing fiscal responsibilities.Providing compliance management by ensuring staff are aware of compliance requirements in architecture, financial management, contract management and IT service management. Providing architectural support to project teams.Managing the delivery, troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of integration and data related services.
