Mr. Gordon earned a degree in finance and economics while contemporaneously earning a TX real estate brokers license. With an interest in economics, Mr. Gordon lead collegiate team projects and developed peer relationships with professors, including the Under Secretary of Commerce for the Bush Administration, where he collaborated on the development of U.S. economic development zones. In 2008, after the collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market, Mr. Gordon developed an economic alternative to Troubled Asset Relief Program which was presented to the then candidate for president.Mr. Gordon began his career in the investment department of a national real estate firm, which ended abruptly with a change in tax law. With the collapse of the real estate industry, Mr. Gordon turned his focus to the securities industry and at the age of 26 he became what industry insiders believed to be the youngest president of a registered securities firm in the history of the country. Mr. Gordon has since owned, managed, and consulted to various types of securities and investment banking firms. During the late ‘90’s Mr. Gordon was the CFO for a private investment bank owned by the late William I. Lee, founder of Triton Energy (symbol: OIL) with partner John Rauscher, Jr., Chairman of Rauscher, Pierce and Refsnes, now Royal Bank of Canada. Mr. Gordon was quickly promoted to president and became chief advisor to the Chairman, Mr. Lee. During this period Mr. Gordon worked with Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs where he introduced deals and participated in IPO’s and secondary offerings. Mr. Gordon has used his management skills to develop C-level offshore tax strategies, and most recently developed a special purpose vehicle to issue publicly traded ring-fenced notes for use by foreign portfolio managers. This development is now commonly known as privately traded funds.Mr. Gordon is presently the Managing Member of BD Financial Services Group (BDFSG), a financial services consulting firm that specializes in consulting to auditors that audit broker-dealers and registered investment advisors, and performs independent anti-money laundering testing to regulated financial institutions, both in the U.S. and British territories. Through BDFSG, Mr. Gordon has developed proprietary applications designed to assist financial institutions with demanding compliance requirements. Mr. Gordon enjoys snow-skiing, dirt bike/motocross riding, scuba diving and traveling the Caribbean.
