Hello, and thank you for visiting my LinkedIn page. I'm a University of Oklahoma graduate with a Bachelors in International & Area Studies. Currently, I am a Engagement Specialist for the Metropolitan Library System, a role I have been in since September 2019. Simultaneously, I'm also a substitute teacher, a role that I have been in (not consistently) since 2004. At one point, I was a ESL Instructor at the Center of English as a Second Language at the University of Oklahoma. Outside of these roles, I have also worked an array of different jobs from retail (JCPenney) to Non-Profit (American Cancer Society). I possess the ability to multi-task in any given setting. I am knowledgeable with Mac OS X and Windows software, including all of Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop. I have data entry experience with strong attention to detail. I also have outstanding telephone and documentation skills. Within the context of a library, I have programming experience, am able to provide provide strong customer service, including answering questions and helping members locate materials and services of interest. I use broad and comprehensive knowledge of current library theories and practices to assist members, obtain information and make effective use of library resources and services. Provides information about library programs, services, other departments, policies and procedures. I provide technology assistance and computer training to members, assists members with self-service equipment and technology. Help support other departments by pulling holds when not assigned to the desk, phone, nor working on a program. Help support people in my own department by offering to help with programs, move furniture, and clean up when needed.I am able to meet deadlines and work with a high level of multicultural awareness and adaptability. My professional goals are to be able to assist both the department and other departments to the best of my abilities and impart wisdom, knowledge and leadership to inspire others.Currently, I am working part time for Metropolitan and am looking for a second part time job or a full time job willing to work with my schedule at the library (which I can go more in depth about if contacted). I am open to working at a Non-Profit Organization, a University, a Library or continuing teaching ESL here in the State of Oklahoma, but I'm open to any office setting where my skills can be utilized and can advance far in the company.
