Through Illinois State University's Distance Dietetic Track 2 Internship/Certificate Program I have acquired 10 graduate credit hours through two internship seminars and two supervised practice experiences. The internship rotation component of the program consisted of hours in clinical nutrition, community nutrition, food service management, and long term care. I gained additional hours through leadership and project management and graduate seminars. At the beginning of May 2020, I will have successfully completed this dietetic internship enabling me to take the national exam to become a Registered Dietitian.

I gained my first clinical experience as a hostess at Vanderbilt Hospital. I was responsible for delivering meals to patient's bedside, taking orders, and assisting in meal preparation. Effectively communicated with members of the healthcare team. Completed on-site orientation and received ServSafe Certification. Complied with all Vanderbilt’s HACCP policies and procedures.

Serving as a client desk coordinator, I was able to share the positive benefits a fitness regiment can add to individuals' lives. This job challenged my marketing abilities such as developing social media posts, and implementing modern advertising techniques.
