Fulcrum is a project put together by classroom teachers Tomas Macaluso and Matthew Ochs. The goal of this project is to help reshape and revive education, bringing it into the 21st century. Our goal is to not only critique and analyze the current state of education, but also to enter into meaningful dialogue with others to generate solutions. As classroom teachers in different fields we hope to develop two distinct tones written with similar goals in mind. Consensus is not our aim here, instead we seek to create dissonance causing not only changes in thinking but also in action. We feel that technology can not and is not the only answer to balanced approaches to education. Shifts in thinking and application of new knowledge can push us to a balanced view of tomorrow.
