Roadhouse Hostels is a chain of Backpacker hostels with it's presence in Goa and Jaipur. As a part of the Roadhouse Hostels team, I am responsible for the following things:- Managed the Jaipur hostel property.- Local marketing including tie-ups with restaurants, cafes for creating a better Jaipur experience for all the backpackers.- Designing the hostel for a backpacker-friendly stay. This includes organizing everyday events at the hostel for keeping the backpackers engaged.- Managing the social media channels for better visibility of the brand online.- Designed a Student Ambassador Program for promoting the Roadhouse Hostels brand in the student community.

The Gandhi Fellowship is a programme for those who are prepared to go on a journey of inner and outer transformation. This Fellowship is partnered by Ashoka India (global association of leading social entrepreneurs), Harvard University, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Mercer (leading Human Resource consulting firm), Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (Government of India’s initiative in universalization of elementary education) and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (set up in 1882 as India’s first municipal corporation).My role includes :- Working with 5 Municipal Schools under the jurisdiction of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation towards ensuring the better of education in terms of delivery and pedagogy – numbering to 2500 students, 50 school teachers, 10 federal government officials and 5 headmasters (school administrators). - Underwent a slum immersion process to better understand the socio-economic conditions of people living in the slum communities around the municipal schools.- Delivered a ‘48 hours’ project to create awareness about the threats of polythene to the environment. As a part of this project, my team made a bulk of paper bags and donated them to the various small merchants in the marketplace, covering around 300 shops and trading establishments- Also initiated a project towards understanding the socio-economic reasons of women entangled in the web of prostitution.- Have assisted the local government machineries in efficiently implementing the ICDS ( Integrated Child Development Scheme ) scheme by holding workshops to train 25 Aanganwaadi workers.- Under the Fellowship also did a stint with Vikramshila in terms of gaining insights towards the established model in bring in change within the Indian education system. Since 1989, Vikramshila has been working with 200 NGO’s and has impacted 25,000 school teachers and 1.4 Million students in Eastern and North Eastern India.
