Arning Companies, a manufacturing/commercial construction firm based in Cassville, MO, had a 30 year history with no formal marketing department. I was initially hired as the company’s first marketing manager in order to rectify the corporate identity by evaluation, creation, and implementation of their corporate identity, public relations, departmental structure, and the transformation of a 30 year player in the petroleum canopy market, to a full-blown commercial construction and manufacturing firm which carries several product lines under the Arning Companies brand.In order to consolidate and establish a new corporate identity and brand, I was responsible for conducting an overall corporate reimaging project transforming the face of the company and creating new marketing materials to reflect these changes. The company website was a major recipient of this corporate reimaging project; establishing a strong web presence along with collective strategies such as SEO, key word recognition, PPC marketing and other techniques, which have led to the successful growth of our company web presence, brand recognition, and business directly generated through the internet. I have also been directly responsible for product research and development which included spearheading a product launch team to oversee development of new products and their introduction to the market. The sales, promotion, and management of the new product line also fell under my list of responsibilities. While maintaining the marketing responsibilites I was also asked to step into a acct. mgr role within the structural steel department. In my 1st qtr. directing the sales component of the department, I was responsible for the second largest month in its history, generating around $500,000 in revenue. In my second quarter of production I set the record for sales in the structural steel department bringing in over $600,000 in revenue. My goal for the previous two quarters mentioned was $270,000 per quarter.
