• Managing electricity and gas market related commercial operations for European assets.
• Understanding of all relevant markets/policies in operating countries.
• Commercial structuring – gas purchase and electricity sale / purchase.
• Tendering and contract negotiations.
• Overseeing compliance of operating generation assets with the terms contracts and market rules.
• Development of optimisation rules for assets, based on commercial and technical realities.

• Member of a Trading/Operations shift team within a 24 hour/7 day week Trading Office.
• Responsible for optimising profitability of UK assets, namely two pumped storage power stations.
• Involved seeking trading opportunities via Brokers, screen based Power Exchanges or OTC.
• Protecting assets by ensuring contract delivery.
• Developing and implementing value adding strategies, decision making tools and procedures.
• Excellent understanding of power markets, power station economics and operations.
