• Managing electricity and gas market related commercial operations for European assets. • Understanding of all relevant markets/policies in operating countries.• Commercial structuring – gas purchase and electricity sale / purchase.• Tendering and contract negotiations.• Overseeing compliance of operating generation assets with the terms contracts and market rules.• Development of optimisation rules for assets, based on commercial and technical realities.• Seeking new opportunities from innovation in existing businesses and new developments.• Working on location in Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania and Italy.

• Member of a Trading/Operations shift team within a 24 hour/7 day week Trading Office.• Responsible for optimising profitability of UK assets, namely two pumped storage power stations.• Involved seeking trading opportunities via Brokers, screen based Power Exchanges or OTC. • Protecting assets by ensuring contract delivery.• Developing and implementing value adding strategies, decision making tools and procedures.• Excellent understanding of power markets, power station economics and operations.• Participation in French Interconnector Trading.
