I have a wide variety of aerospace structural analysis experience spanning the general, military, and commercial sectors of aviation, and I have been involved with multiple stages in life cycle of aircraft and aerospace technologies. My career began with the engineering consultant group Liberty Partners, Inc, supporting multiple aircraft modification and certification projects by performing the necessary structural analyses and the corresponding technical reports required for FAA certification. At Jet Aviation, St. Louis, I was part of an analysis team that performed stress analysis of custom aircraft interior structures for private business aircraft and wrote the corresponding certification reports. From Jet Aviation, I accepted an opportunity with Boeing St. Louis where I was part of a sustaining effort for an ongoing military aircraft program. Currently, I am employed full time in the structures technology division of Boeing Research and Technology; our team supports multiple research efforts for both internal and government customers.During my career I have analyzed a wide variety of structures and designs involving both common materials and advanced composites, metallics, and ceramics. I've been involved with airframes, engine nozzles, as well as one-off research designs for future technology implementation and testing. I utilize classical hand analysis or the finite element method, where appropriate, to support my analyses; projects in which I have participated required static, buckling, vibration, thermal, and thermally-coupled models. I have extensive experience with Microsoft Office and VBA scripting, and I have used multiple finite element modeling pre/post processors, including Femap, Hypermesh/Hyperview, and Patran Pre/Post Processors. In addition to VBA scripting, I code with Python, and I am familiar with Matlab and C/C++. I am also proficient with design packages AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks.
