CurrentThe Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health Education at The Chicago School aims to reduce the stigma often associated with mental illness and suicide by developing, promoting and providing educational programs, developing resources, and offering hope. We envision a world where the stigma often associated with mental illness and suicide no longer prevents those who need support from seeking services and treatment and others are equipped with the language and skills to assist someone who may be experiencing a mental health challenge. Areas of focus:- Plan and execute annual community mental health conference- Provide mental health education and training- Community outreach- Strategic planning- Direct supervision and mentoring of staff, student workers and Doctoral fellows
