I represented the company as the technical director for NCTO and managed the company's environmental compliance.I managed the purchase, layout and start-up of the new Lovelady Finishing facility. I then took over as operations manager for the facility.I improved delivery lead times 20% by working directly with our contract upholstery suppliers (Herman Miller, Hon and Steelcase) to implement lean manufacturing techniques.I helped design a company-wide gain sharing incentive program to retain skilled associates in a tight labor market- resulting in $1-2 M in annual savings.
