I had an industrial placement with Hanon Systems UK as a student CAD engineer. I worked on HVAC systems for multiple car manufacturers and was involved in designing components such as WCAC heat exchangers, single/dual-pass radiators, and other cooling components. I worked on HVAC systems for multiple car manufacturers and was involved in designing components such as WCAC heat exchangers, single/dual-pass radiators, and other cooling components. A lot of the products I designed consisted of injection moulded components, stamped & extruded metal components and machined products. Created assemblies for products that use several different joining and finishing technologies such as cladding on metal sheets for brazing, cold joining methods such as riveting etc.My confidence with CAD software (Catia V5) has risen massively since. My time management and attention to detail had improved significantly, ensuring projects were delivered punctually and approach when dealing with clients and colleagues has become more professional. I learnt a lot that year about the lifecycle of products starting from conception to manufacturing and look forward to expanding my know by pursuing a career in engineering. Show less
