I focus my practice on complex litigation in the area of product liability, helping companies that design and manufacture medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food products, and home safety products. I have successfully served as national coordinating and trial counsel for several drug and medical device companies in multi-jurisdictional mass torts and class action matters. As a strong legal and business advocate, I regularly lead litigation for life sciences companies in personal injury, contract, labeling, and other proceedings in which an understanding of the life sciences industry is essential. On the business side, I proactively advise product manufacturers and distributors on the legal requirements concerning the safety and effectiveness of products they sell and distribute across multiple jurisdictions. I also advise my clients on product recalls, compliance with government and industry standards, limiting or controlling risk, as well as developing product literature, review of quality processes, product failure investigations, and crisis management.I also write and speak on issues related to product liability, litigation strategy and managing risk. I have been a speaker for various medical device trade organizations and my insights have been featured by Drug & Device Law Blog, Law360, Medical Device and Diagnostic Industry, Association of Corporate Counsel, and Impact Times. Beyond my work with product manufacturers, I am committed to serving the disadvantaged and is a board member of the Kind Human Foundation, provides pro bono assistance to the Philadelphia Outward Bound School and Philly Goat Project, and was former president of the Overbrook Farms Club and the Overbrook Presbyterian Church Corporation. As a Commissioned Officer with the United States Army, I am the recipient of a Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal. Please feel free to reach out if I can be of service to you.
