Responsible for reporting research and project management related to new and pending U.S. regulatory reporting initiatives applicable to American Express including the development of comprehensive project timelines, education for management, training for the Regulatory team, and coordinating with data suppliers on new reporting expectations and deliverables. Monitoring new and emerging regulatory reporting guidance from the Regulatory Agencies (e.g. FRB, FDIC, OCC, CIMA ) and consulting with subject matter experts to determine any potential impact(s) to American Express.Manage the preparation, standardization, and improvement of Bank regulatory filings. Work with the Oracle and other technology teams to create dynamic, accurate, and automated regulatory legal entity reporting for the Company’s Bank. Liaise with similar positions within the Global External Regulatory Reporting team to identify and implement opportunities for integration and process enhancement. Represent Controllership in matters concerning the Federal Reserve, FDIC, OCC, Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and New York State Department of Financial Services.

Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close. Manage the Company’s quarterly reviews and year end audit in addition to coordinating information relevant for the reviews/audit. Design internal control systems to ensure the safeguarding of company assets and compliance with SOX requirements.

Client relations/rainmaking, audit field work planning/processes, client financial statements preparation. Consulting, regulatory compliance and Board and Audit Committee training (including Bank Secrecy Act testing, NACHA audits, and 401k audits).
