• Coached a team of vehicle engineers across Australia, Thailand, India and North America to deliver quality change control for software and electrical integration for the successful launch of the new Ford Ranger into North American manufacturing plans:− Transformed capability and performance across the team, moving them from the lowest to highest performing team on change control processes across the group− Enabled 100% on time delivery of all project milestones through rigorous planning, prioritisation, scheduling and active coaching of team members − Embedded, taught and followed Ford best practices, processes and quality management frameworks

• Held a dual role as Lead Feasibility Engineer and Lead Comfort Attribute Engineer, building and leading a team of 24 engineers within the seating team to manage the engineering design and styling of all 450+ T6 platform seats across the Ford Ranger, Everest and Raptor vehicle ranges:− Conceptualised and initiated designs for all seating components (sheetmetal, foam, plastics, textiles) balancing styling with cost, complexity, and manufacturability considerations− Demonstrated expert knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for automotive seats, across international jurisdictions, to inform design specifications for 7 different plants/global regions− Fostered strategic partnerships with 3 manufacturing partners with contracts ranging from Full Service to In-house Design and Manufacture• Mobilised and developed the team, onboarding 18 new hires with no experience in seating and rapidly instilling expertise and high-performance culture:− Coached team members to think critically and develop alternate solutions to technical design issues− Embedded best practice project management frameworks and an agile benefits-led approach to delivery ensuring on time, in-budget delivery of results that meet and exceed quality, safety and cost objectives • Managed Engineering Design & Development budget of $10.2M demonstrating strong financial acumen to influence cost effective design and optimise value for money:− Achieved commercial objectives: upgraded seats were manufactured at the same cost per unit as the previous range (9 years ago), with enhanced styling and comfort • Member of Global Product Design team for Seating, harnessing consumer research and quantitative analytics to influence changes to Ford’s global standards for seat profiles• Nurtured relationships with cross-functional colleagues and manufacturing partners across the globe, working across time zones, harnessing strong communication and cross-cultural awareness to foster trust and collaboration
