Tiago Pinho holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management (Minho University, Portugal) and a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering - Logistics (Minho University, Portugal and dst - domingos da silva teixeira, s.a.). Currently, is an Assistant Professor in the Polytechnic Institute of Setubal. Since 2020, is the Course Director of the Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.Since 2009, is a Higher Education Institution Professor, first at School of Business and Administration, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo - IPVC (2009-2013) and at the School of Business and Administration, Polytechnic Institute of Setubal - IPS (2014-). In both institutions, he has been the Director of the Distribution and Logistics Management Degree, and in IPVC, also the Logistics Masters and Logistics Professional Course. Additionally, has been Process Manager, Quality Manager, amongst other management functions. He directs master's dissertations, final course projects and teaches in the area of Supply Chain and Operations. Between 2012 and 2024, was the Pedagogical Coordinator of the event "24 hours of Logistics", the biggest training event in the logistics sector in Portugal. In 2016, he was one of the founders of the Logistics Laboratory of ESCE/IPS – LogisticLab, which aims to enhance cooperation between companies and higher education institutions.In 2020, he co-founded the company LogiAM Logistics – Applied Analytics and Mathematical Modeling, a company dedicated to Big Data Analytics applied to the Supply Chain, awarded as one of the 8 best start-ups in Portugal, by the EIT Digital Venture Program 2020.In 2022, he integrated the A3ES Evaluation Committee that evaluated 4 new master’s proposals.He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Sines Tecnopolo, the Vasco da Gama Technology-Based Business Incubation Center Association, based in Sines.In 2022, he was appointed the Principal Investigator of the IPS team in the "Sines Nexus" Project, an Agenda dedicated to Innovation and Digital Transition.
