Starting out as an Environmental Scientist, I gained a unique perspective of the negative impact people and organizations can have on the environment. While I was able to develop project management and budget management skills as well as a strong business acumen, I knew I wanted to move into a people-oriented role that leveraged my creativity, adaptability, and enthusiasm. I also wanted to connect people with nature in a meaningful way and in doing so, help to combat the negative effects I was seeing. I found this all in environmental education. Over the years, I have planned and delivered environmental programs across a wide variety of settings and have tailored them to resonate with children and adults from diverse backgrounds. I focus on building trust and rapport with internal teams and external customers, and leverage my communication skills to deliver content in engaging and interactive ways. Building on my business background, I use data to make strategic decisions about the direction programs should take and maintain a keen eye on safety and risk management. Areas of expertise include: program development and delivery, relationship building, strategic partnerships, coaching and mentoring, event planning, compliance, data analysis, and budget management.
