Long Tran is an undergraduate at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. As part of the SUTD Honours And Research Programme (SHARP), he will be graduating with a double degree in December 2024 - a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science and Design) and a Master of Engineering (Research). With a comprehensive background spanning industry, academia, and startups, Long has excelled in architecting scalable and high-availability systems using Docker and Kubernetes across cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. His proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, and C, enables him to develop cloud-native applications and automate complex workflows, significantly enhancing operational efficiencies. Leveraging Ansible and Shell scripting, Long has automated deployment processes, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning, ensuring robust and resilient cloud architectures.As a Research Assistant under the Future Communications Connectivity Lab (FCCLab) focusing on Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) research, Long has developed and integrated open-sourced RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) into commercial-grade 5G solutions at his university. His contribution has unlocked the potential of O-RAN architectures for deploying advanced AI/ML models. In his upcoming Master's, Long would focus on building Machine Learning solutions inside the Non-Realtime and Near-Realtime RIC. As a co-founder and Tech Lead at Chat4Good Technologies, Long has been at the forefront of leveraging AI chatbots, advanced data analytics, and real-time insights to make a significant social impact.
