About Thineshdurai Ponnudurai
Hello there! I graduated from Technology of PETRONAS University with a Bachelor’s Degree In Mechanical Engineering in September 2020. I majored in Product Technology and the related coursework are Product Design & Development, Failure Analysis and Advanced Manufacturing Technology. I have also obtain CSWP certification from Dassault Systems.Currently, I am serving as a Mechanical Design Engineer at JKS Engineering (M) Sdn.Bhd. I have almost 2 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry and 5 years of practical experience with Solidworks. I have experience with sheet metals, weldments and GD&T. I started of with producing technical drawings for fabrications and advanced to designing surface treament machines based on projects. Troubleshooting and solving problems is a drive which keeps me going and gain knowledge to improve the design and delivery of project. I am also the president of JKS’s Finesse Club, leading a group of people in proposing, planning and executing events. I was employed at UMW Aerospace as a Protégé in June 2021 and my 6 months contract ended in November 2021 while I was attached to the engineering department. I held a responsibility to lead and manage the Mechanized Deburring Tool project for Trent 1000-TEN and Trent 7000 Fan Case deburring operations. I have taken the Kaizen approach to identify, analyze and propose a countermeasure to improve the quality and safety of the parts as well as the machinist safety at work. In order for me to verify the tool being proposed as a countermeasure for the improvement. The project was the starting point of continuous improvement and delightedly have been awarded the Top 10 finalist for UMW’s Innovation Challenge 2021.
