The Norfolk Admirals is an ECHL professional hockey team representing the Hampton Roads region and the 1.8-million-member community of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News and Northeastern North Carolina.In 2019 I acquired the Norfolk Admirals Organization, one of the longest-standing members of the ECHL. The team is incredibly personal to me because it’s where I got my start in professional hockey. As an "original Admiral," I was brought to the region as an 18-year-old rookie in 1989, the same year the team was founded. Buying and supporting the Admirals is just one way to express gratitude to the community that welcomed me years ago as a teenager.The Admirals are the ECHL developmental affiliate of the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets. Chilled Ponds Ice Sports Complex offers the full spectrum of youth-through-adult skating programs on 90,000 square feet of twin-sheet, NHL-sized ice rinks. Home to the Hampton Roads Whalers a USPHL National Champion, and the Whaler Nation Youth and Junior Hockey teams, “The Ponds” is also the official practice facility for the ECHL’s Norfolk Admirals, now affiliated with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes and AHL champion Chicago Wolves.As President, I manage all functions of the business, including operations, maintenance, marketing, staffing and contract negotiations of commercial leases◈ In 2003, bought and overhauled the newly built Chesapeake rink as it sat in bankruptcy◈ Developed comprehensive program platform that attracts local and global enthusiasts to the rink’s hockey tournament segment and Whaler Junior Hockey programming◈ Beyond skating, created inclusive family experience that features Bon Secours InMotion Sports & Performance Center, which trains and rehabilitates our player injuries, and Whales Tale Bar and Grill ◈ In January 2023, further expanded the Chilled Ponds brand with the purchase of Hampton Roads Iceplex, rebranding the 32,000-square-foot facility as Chilled Ponds at Yorktown Sports Complex 🔗 chilledponds.com

CDHP, an intensive and progressive developmental hockey program that focused on training motivated youth-aged players from the Professional vantage point. CDHP started as a small, one week per year program to an International company that trained over 30,000 players across the globe which challenged traditional methods and altered the grassroots hockey training curriculum across the United States.
