Tom is responsible for strategy, architecture, solution design, and development of both internal and customer facing IT solutions for an emerging biopharma/biosecurity company publicly traded on NASDAQ. He is lead architect for IT platforms including engineered DNA production, tagging, cloud-based authentication systems, and supply chain monitoring for anti-counterfeiting and proof of ethical/sustainable claims. He is also the IT lead on multiple SBIR and RIF projects for the US Department of Defense. Prior to Applied DNA, Tom was Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture for Motorola Solutions from 2008-2013, where he led multiple business transformation programs, addressing enterprise-wide functions ranging from Order Mgmt, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Service, HR, Product Lifecycle Mgmt, and Data Warehousing/Analytics. Working with senior management he developed multi-year implementation roadmaps which aligned with Motorola business strategies to globally rationalize operations across regions and business units. Tom was also Senior Director of Business Applications at Symbol Technologies from 2002-2007 where he managed development and support of Sales and Service functions worldwide, utilizing Salesforce.com CRM, e-commerce, and SAP ERP systems. Prior to this Tom was an applications consultant for SAP America, providing project planning, business process re-engineering, and SAP solution design for many Fortune 500 companies. Tom holds an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of Management, where he worked with the New Jersey Commission on Science and Technology and NJ Small Business Development center, supporting small high-tech businesses through cooperation between government, venture capital organizations, and the Advanced Technology Centers at various universities in New Jersey. Tom also holds a BS. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Syracuse University.
