Community Co-Ordinator
CurrentNeurodiverse Peer Support Group Facilitator- I am currently in the process of creating a peer support group for 18+ adults in the Sefton area who are neurodiverse, with the help of the LFC foundation, Autism Hubs Sefton & The National Autistic society. This group will evolve with the needs of the clients and will include speakers, activities etc when needed. As I am autistic I will be using my lived experience to create a friendly and caring group. I will manage the budget and the wellbeing of those in this group.Bid Writing- As I manage my own groups this includes bid writing to secure necessary funds for each area. I have successfully written and received bid’s of up to £2,500, one being from the LWS fund for accessibility equipment within the Cosy Club. Shopping Service Facilitator- The Shopping Service is an essential accessibility assistance for housebound clients to get their shopping ordered and delivered from the charity. I oversee and manage the Shopping Service and the Volunteers, we are currently working on revitalising it through brand new procedures to streamline its effectiveness as the current workflow is ten years out of date.Community Hub Manager- The community hub is aimed at neurodivergent adults and children, as someone who is Autistic I am working on creating a supportive and accessible community. The hub is in development with an up and coming sensory room being built, it is one of LFC’s community hubs and collaborates with them and other charities across netherton including the L30. Food Bank Vouchers- As part of my role I am one of the key members of staff who give out food bank vouchers and offer different opportunities to vulnerable clients including the LFC meals and food vouchers. Through our local connections we also offer free birthday gifts, free prom dresses and more for those in need.
