Pro-Noun Zine-Editor And CreatorFreelance Sep 2021 - Jan 2022Skills I learned during this role:Writing, as part of my role I wrote poetry and creative writing to specific deadlines, the pieces were focused on the theme of mental health. For each piece, I worked with an illustrator to ensure a collaboration with art and writing that emphasizes said theme.Managing, I was in charge of a team of writers, artists, and designers as well as the social media. To ensure deadlines were met we primarily used Noiton and GoodNotes to organize the staff and ran weekly Scrum meetings to track progress.Editing, I also was part of a duo that edited each piece. Editing would focus not only on grammar and punctuation but theme, tone, and voice. Each piece was unique and we worked on acknowledging that but also ensuring that all pieces could be read without the overall theme of the Zine being compromised.
