Welcome to my LinkedIn page! I am a psychologist at the Lexington VAMC and practicing at Clarity Counseling Services in Lexington, KY. I focus on providing culturally competent and empirically-validated therapy services to the Lexington, KY community. I am a passionate clinician experienced in working with a diverse range of clients, including LGBTQ+ folks, survivors of intimate partner violence, veterans, adults looking to manage burnout and make life changes, trauma survivors, and university students. I specialize in brief mental health interventions, trauma-informed practices, and empirically-supported interventions for a diverse range of clinical concerns. I integrate multiple theoretical approaches to empower diverse clients, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Interpersonal Process Therapy (IPT). My research interests have focused on LGBTQ+ well-being and improving local community services in the Lexington, KY area. I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship specializing in Behavioral Health Consultation at the University of South Florida Counseling Center; prior to this, I finished my APA-accredited internship at the University of South Florida Counseling Center as well. I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology and my MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky, an APA-accredited training program focusing on social justice. I received my BA in Psychology with Suma Cum Laude honors from the University of California, Davis.

In addition to participant recruitment, I often worked on editing questionnaires and administering a study that included an implicit association test (IAT) for LGBT individuals.
