Designed and created books, covers, newsletters, brochures, logos, catalogues, and event materials from concept through completion for off-set printing or online use for administrators, teachers, students, and parents of the New York City public school system, comprised of over one million students and 1,700 schools.• Advised NYCDOE offices on integration of text with design and production specifications; and on issues of content, presentation, writing style, and grammar.• Consultant and advisor to director on managing staff, collaborating effectively with multiple project leaders, negotiating and maintaining timelines with project managers and printers.• Delegated projects and responsibilities to staff in absence of director; oversaw staff editor and freelance production artist, liaised with project managers, maintained timelines.• Liaised with printers regarding production timelines, printing specifications, and printing quotes.• Prepared materials for the Translation and Interpretation Unit to accommodate space needs for various languages.• Researched and utilized stock photos; retouched and modified photos.
