I am a strategic innovator and project manager who excels in transforming forward-thinking ideas into commercial realities. My career is marked by a proven track record of initiating and executing projects that have opened new avenues of revenue and propelled businesses forward. At the heart, I am an entrepreneur, I started my first business when I was 20. Without realising it at the time, I leant into my strengths of being decisive, proactive and futuristic - I’m always inspired by the future and what could be. I have been able to bring this into each new role, and it has been a great benefit to companies. Fueled by a desire to keep learning and solve problems that have a positive impact, I enrolled in an MBA at the Graduate School of Business (UCT), which will equipped me with tangible tools and frameworks to complement the experience I’ve built up over the past decade.My skills in streamlining processes, stakeholder engagement, idea generation, forward-thinking, leadership and quantitative and qualitative research have been fundamental in the success of many projects that I have managed. In my most recent role as marketing and project manager at SMHART Security - which was the fastest-growing security company in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, with 400+ employees and over 34 branches - I was focused on driving growth and innovation.With my experience in new business development, sales, and business strategy, our team successfully expanded the business from 27 to 34 branches in two years.One of the projects close to my heart is Let’s Feed Jbay, which raised over R1 600 000 during the peak of the Covid-19 outbreak to support the local community. As a co-founder my role was to manage the fundraising and run the logistics. One of my superpowers is to see potential in a person or idea, and bring it to life, and I look forward to doing this in my next role. When I’m not working, you’ll find me out surfing - whether at home in South Africa, or chasing waves throughout Europe or Indonesia. I’ve been privileged to travel to almost 30 countries and have had the opportunity to compete in 3 World Championships for Germany and 2 European Championship surf competitions, which taught me sportsmanship, discipline, resilience, and focus.Inspired by a commitment to create a better tomorrow, the values that guide me are perseverance, courage, compassion, respect and integrity.
