Responsible for flow stand experiments testing discharge coefficients of combustor sections and related components.Reported key results and provided team write-ups to support both the experimental and computational teams.

Utilized Ansys Fluent to run simulations for Computation Fluid Dynamic analysis of Ultra-Compact Combustors (UCCs) and applicable subsystems. Aided research engineers by conducting reacting and non-reacting RANS simulations of UCCs and post-processed results from fluid flow simulations. Written results reported.Gained an introductory understanding of turbulent behavior of fluids during the combustion process and flame stability effects from fuel-lean equivalence ratios.

Senior Capstone Project:Managed team progress, created testing methods for thrust and specific fuel consumption, post-processed results from on-site testing at WPAFB. Created a conceptual and preliminary design for an inlet mounted water injection system (over-spray) for the JetCat P90 gas turbine engine to increase component efficiency at military power. Results yielded a nominal efficiency increase and a thrust increase.

Assisted technical leads with managing hours and distribution of projects throughout team. Responsible for creating and editing detailed technical drawings for General Electric Aviation High-Pressure Turbine and Combustor groups for the GE-9X engine.Familiarity with GE Drawing Standards, GD&T practices, and Unigraphics software.

Authored Rhinestahl ITS Quality Manual for ISO 9001:2008 certification. Successfully passed certification audit without a major non-conformity.Drafting, design, updating, and editing of technical drawings for Rolls-Royce and GE Aviation.Involvement with internal R&D – tool for maintenance of gas turbine engine compressor blades.
