Studied Latin and Philosophy to become a teacher, but then worked in IT business for several years. After the web 1.0 bubble had burst, I wrote a doctoral thesis on thought experiments and computer simulations. After that I worked as a freelance political consultant (for instance evaluated the participatory budget of Cologne) and co-founded the feedback application startup "reqorder". For the following four years I was deputy head of the PR division of the German Federal Ministry for Ecomomic Cooperation and Development. From 2015 to 2017 I led an advocacy project on open data and privacy at Stiftung Neue Verantwortung in Berlin. For the following year I lead a joint project with Bertelsmann Stiftung on the value of algorithms for promoting public welfare.From 2018 to 2020 I was Managing Analyst at Capgemini's unit Insights & Data, helping to digitize and modernize public administrations by embracing the potential of data analytics.Currently I am one of the CEOs of Civitalis GmbH, which I co-founded. Civitalis is helping public administrations across Germany to modernize and to include digital technologies in their services.Spare time is filled with family, reading and writing, sports and arts.
