As Outside Account Manager for Canada’s most innovative provider of office procurement solutions, I focus on helping large clients better manage their internal procurement processes. Since Grand & Toy is committed to providing 360° solutions to complex procurement challenges, I work in close partnership with my clients to better understand their procurement needs and new opportunities for cost efficiency. This goes well beyond assessing consumption rates and offering promotions: my enterprise clients rely on my consultative selling skills to build customized solutions that address their specific challenges across the following areas: office technology, print, promotions, interiors, facilities and office supplies. In many large organizations, cost efficiencies can be gained by taking a more holistic approach to the corporate purchasing and procurement function. As Outside Account Manager, I’m able to invest a great deal of time with my clients and “connnect the dots” across different functions and departments, each with unique product needs and buying behaviours. Since Grand & Toy offers the flexibility to craft customized solutions to address costly procurement pain points, I’m able to combine a nimble selling approach with procurement domain expertise. That matters, because my large customers look to me for my insight and ability to put high-performing procurement solutions in place quickly. Being an effective Outside Account Manager is ultimately about getting out there in the field and rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.
