I am an Electrician by trade with a passion for the sustainable energy sector, which drove my transition from my initial career in sales into electrical engineering and subsequently the EV sector. As a dedicated electrical surveyor for the commercial arm of Pod Point, I have directly been involved in the initial pre-construction/design phase of a project, through to the delivery and installation/commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charger Infrastructure for clients such as Lidl, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, EDF, DPD, NHS and many other companies throughout the UK. I am able to provide technical advice, design parameters and quote commercial projects from having visited sites, liaising with various stakeholders (both internal and external) as well as interpreting varied documentation/electrical drawings. I have dealt with managing the progress of tenders, to proposed rollouts for specific clients. This is all carried out inline with CDM regulations as well as BS7671 and SMSTS, to ensure the realisation of a project against agreed margins and delivery time frames. Responsibilities have included: Managing a team of national surveyors, creating new processes from inception to completion for the business to ensure efficiency, and continued involvement in projects as long as required to ensure a successful outcome for both the client and Pod Point.
