Regional Community Program And Peer Network Coordinator
CurrentResponsible for comprehensive and effective coordination, development, and evaluation of programs and services that contribute directly and positively to the preservation of the assigned service members and families assigned to the United States Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. Responsible for organizing and overseeing peer support networks for all assigned commands and management of subordinate Peer Network Coordinators located on east and west coast of the United States. These networks are developed to accommodate service members and families and recruit active duty and family member peer support counselors, ensure participating peer support counselors are vetted and trained according to standards established by Department of Defense (DOD) and United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The Coordinators provide information and community resources to peer support counselors, members of their assigned units and families. Resources include, but are not limited to, DOD sponsored peer support counseling networks, clinical and non-clinical behavioral healthcare and supportive counseling, financial management resources, childcare, and others as appropriate. Responsible for collecting and reporting data for the purposes of formative and outcome evaluations of peer support programs and other community based support programs. Coordinators shall collect original data and data from secondary sources in support of program assessments. This data includes, but is not limited to, incidents; focus group and or unit meetings convened by leadership; Preservation of the Force and Families (POTFF) Resilience Program evaluation results; trend information from POTFF Psychologists, Chaplains, Family Readiness Officers (FRO) or staff; and website utilization patterns. Possess extensive knowledge of DOD, Service and community social service, family support, and behavioral healthcare resources to facilitate appropriate referrals either directly or through command and
