Since joining SWA in 2009 I have been involved in a wide range of projects and practice initiatives from inception to completion. I became an Associate in 2013 and now manage several project teams in the practice as well as inputting into our company policy and future business opportunities. I have wide experience in stakeholder engagement, educational and housing policy. I am currently leading SWA’s team working for Notting Hill Housing to secure reserved matters consent for a scheme of 27 new build mixed tenure homes in North London. Alongside this, I am working with BuroHappold and OKRA Landscape design on a series of new cycling infrastructure projects in outer London. I recently led the fast track refurbishment and extension of an existing school building in Essex. Over the past few years, I have been responsible for leading our team working on Lot 4 of the North West Cambridge Development, a collaboration with Cottrell Vermeulen Architecture and the AOC, for 70 Code for Sustainable Homes level 5 new dwellings. I have also recently been working with arts charity SPACE on SWA’s proposals for low cost workspace for artists and makers in East London, completed earlier this year and featured in a recent Arts Council publication on sustainable development.Prior to this I was Project Architect for Takeley Primary School in Essex which SWA won in competition in 2010 and which was completed in July 2012, winning a RIBA award in 2013. I have also been involved with a number of self-build projects and headed up our shortlisted entries for the NaCSBA ‘Self build on a Shoesting’ competition two years running. I am currently working on a strategy to provide a design and enabling service for these projects. Alongside my work at SWA I am a design studio tutor at the University of Greenwich and a BCU Level 4 Sea Kayak Leader. I try to get out on the water whenever I can.
