I am a final year Environmental Science student at Bournemouth University. I previously attended Brakenhale Academy and then Brakenhale Sixth Form, where I completed my GCSEs and A-levels. During my second year at Brakenhale Sixth Form I was one of three head students, where I had duties to attend and talk at School openings and be an overall role model for students at the school. At Bournemouth University, I have so far completed a selection of units including microbiology, environmental pollution, and environmental remote sensing. I am currently in the process of writing my independent research project on the ranging behaviour of the White-tailed eagles on the Isle of Wight.I have gained excellent team and communication skills from my time working as a recreational assistant for Everyone Active, and I have also acquired many computer skills whilst working with 90min. Additionally, during the summer of 2022 I completed a short five-week placement with the Public Protection Partnership of Westberskire Council and Bracknell Forest Council. There I was given experience working with all of their environmental sectors, including water quality, air quality, noise and sound pollution, ground waste pollution and also food security. It was a fantastic opportunity for myself to apply what I already knew and learn more about Environmental Science.
