I had one month left before heading to Chicago for school, and a family friend mentionedhe could use some help at his Morgan Stanley private practice. I knew what the job wouldrequire, and what it had to offer, so without hesitation, I stood in as his assistant. In turn, heallowed me to shadow him for any meeting or deal I was interested in. I constructedpresentations, set up his meetings with current and potential clients, and even gave myinput when called upon. Part of my high school graduation requirement was to spend the last month of my Seniorworking an unpaid internship. I was so excited, to me, a job was much more exciting than aclassroom. I chose Olympia Entertainment because of their incredible list of concertvenues and events. I was had worked many positions in the entertainment industry, andthis job allowed me to witness first hand how a multi-million dollar entertainment companyoperated. I split my time evenly between the booking, marketing, and productiondepartments. One of my favorite assignments was working a three-day country musicfestival, where I was a Hospitality Manager for Artists and Media. The festival drew anestimated 900,000 patrons, and it was an absolutely amazing learning experience.
