About Toby Priddle
I am an ambitious, innovative and experienced technician specialising in stage lighting design, programming and operation.Initially I studied an extended diploma in production arts at Bridgwater and Taunton College. The course allowed me to explore and understand all areas of theatrical production including scenic construction, sound, lighting, stage management and counterweight flying. I completed the course with a Triple Distinction Star grade - the highest that can be achieved on the course. I went on to study as an apprentice at Exeter Phoenix where I provided technical support (also specialising in lighting) for a wide range of shows including comedy nights, high profile live bands, theatre, dance, acoustic nights, corporate events and DJ/Club night events. During my time here I learnt how to proficiently program and operate Chamsys lighting consoles as well as obtaining my full IPAF license. I now work on a freelance basis for a number of different production companies. Notably I have worked with SWG events on Glastonbury Festival as a Lighting Operator and have worked for Theatre Royal Plymouth as a local Stage Electrician on Matthew Bournes international touring scene show Edward Scissorhands
