Research Technician at the Universty of Edinburgh Centre for Brain Discovery Sciences. Funded by the MS Society. Neuroscience researcher supporting a range of studies investigating myelin damage, demyelination and neurodegeneration in zebrafish. Currently using CRISPR/Cas9 to build new genetically modified zebrafish lines and tools to study disease mecahnisms. I am fascinated with how neurons function on every level, from DNA expression up to behaviour. Currently enjoying learning about the zebfrafish model organism as part of the Lyons lab in Edinburgh! Eager to continue building experience in the field, with the hope of completeing a PhD in the near future.
