In my most recent role with the Air Force, I’ve directed complex maintenance programs and over 700+ personnel in supporting F-35A Joint Strike Fighter operations within and outside of the country. I’ve overseen the use of $100M+ in tooling, facilities, and other assets in protecting and maintaining aviation assets worth over $4B, all while achieving readiness and operational levels that delivered the highest mission capability rates for JSF squadrons throughout the U.S. military. I have relied on training and leading high-performing teams of managers and directors in designing and deploying lean operations, increasing efficiencies and streamlining workflows while maintaining strict quality control standards across all facets of my organization.Additionally, I’ve been an instrumental influencer in the organization’s ability to communicate with other military branches, senior leadership from allied militaries, career civil service employees, and partners in the defense & aerospace industry, influencing the establishment of new relationships that effectively support supply chain initiatives and operational improvements that increase the overall effectiveness of the JSF program.

I was assigned to this role in 2016, where I excelled at driving the organization’s leadership development and career progression programs for the Air Force’s senior maintenance and logistics officers. I collaborated with strategic leadership throughout the force, identifying critical staffing needs and implementing effective programs that ensured that qualified leaders were assigned to the most crucial assignments available. I oversaw the assignment of 1,000+ managers and directors during this timeframe, all while maintaining support from strategic leadership on personnel positions.

I served as a key contributor to the U.S. Air Force’s efforts to maintain its ageing fleet of fighter aircraft, partnering with key military, government, and Congressional leaders on resource requirements that were paramount to the Air Force’s ability to maintain over 1,700 legacy aircraft. I served as a subject matter expert in the unique issues faced by the Air Force’s operations, educating lawmakers and senior leaders alike on the challenges of maintaining current international operations with current aviation assets, as well as what the entire force needs in terms of additional material and funding support to maintain the Air Force’s ability to meet the nation’s current and future defense needs.

Aviano, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

I led a high-performing team of 500+ maintenance and administrative support professionals operating across nine separate work sites that delivered direct and back-shop maintenance to F-16 fighter aircraft. I developed lean programs and teams that met the Air Force’s strategic maintenance requirements, all while supporting contingency operations across Europe and North Africa. I also oversaw operations that supported our NATO partners, and implemented new initiatives that increased personnel readiness while attaining a 93% passing rate for quality assurance.

In this role, I was directly responsible for the assignment of maintenance and munitions officers throughout the U.S. Air Force. I coordinated with executive leadership from 10 separate major organizations, ensuring that over 1,700 maintenance management professionals were assigned to positions across the Air Force’s 130+ global locations, all while balancing professional development of the manager and considering the organization’s individual structure, needs, and requirements for its leadership personnel.
