I have 25 years’ experience of helping businesses realise the benefits of changes through the successful integration of people, processes and tools.I adopt a user–centred approach to release the untapped information and knowledge held by end-users. Ultimately, it is the end-users that will help the project deliver the business benefit; involving them from the start will increase the likely success of the project and lead to successful harmonisation of tools, processes and the competencies and capabilities of the people within the system.Throughout my career, I have been responsible for:a) providing advice on equipment design and usability,b) developing policies and procedures to improve business efficiencyc) advising on human capabilities to effectively operate equipment and tools.With project experience in Australia, UK, US, China and Thailand spanning Telecommunications, Rail, Defence and Air Traffic Management I am quick to learn and understand customer needs whatever the domain. I have demonstrable experience from supporting operations at the board level of billion dollar companies to working within focussed teams in small to medium sized enterprises. As a result of this experience, I am able to manage teams focussed on human factors, operations readiness, transition and training; operate independently as a consultant; and communicate at all levels of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that project objectives are achieved and benefits realised. I was admitted as a fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors in 2011, and continue with my professional development to ensure this status is maintained.
