I am the Secretary for the Young Railway Professionals. The group supports a wide range of events in the railway industry to the young generation of railway professionals to facilitate networking across a broad range of groups. It also organises its own events to bring together and inspire those in the early stages of their career.

I work in the track approvals team at Metronet Rail as a Track Technical Engineer. I write track concession requests which are sent to London Underground for approval. I have to gather technical information and assess the impact the non-compliance will have on the railway. This includes risk, network performance, rolling stock, signals and maintenance.I.
