Engineering leadership to the Track Partnership. Providing comprehensive assurance to the client and supporting track renewals delivery teams. Responsible for production of track renewal specification, interdisciplinary track design reviews, track quality reporting and providing assurance to London Underground.

Project Engineer working within London Underground capital projects. Part of the the Track Partnership contract with Balfour Beatty Rail delivering the track upgrades for London. Responsible for engineering compliance and delivery on ballasted track renewals.

Working for the Infrastructure Sponsor with the remit of sponsoring capital investment projects within the Track Plant a& Servicing Depot strategy. Responsible for capturing project requirements from all stakeholders, developing benefits and business case, writing project authority papers and approving project stage gate completion. Projects included introduction of B-Scan ultrasonic rail test equipment, road-rail access points, depot crane refurbishment and new switch carrying wagons. Major successes include gaining project authority for refurbished crane and new ultrsonic rail test equipment and achieving delivery stage gates for construction on a number of projects.

Track engineering lead for London Underground maintenance organisation. Accountable for the delivery of professional engineering services to the maintenance directorate, external clients and other directorates, in support of company business plans and day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include:● Delivering business objectives through research, simulation, investigation, facilitating change and challenging standards.● Supervising and controlling processes to challenge company standards. Gained provisional accreditation to recommend concessions and queries to standard.● Delivering high quality output to clients through planning of works programmes.● Delivering clearance approvals to maintain safety and reliability of the railway.● Line management of a team of engineers including company staff appraisal process and discipline.● Deputising for the Track Engineering Manager at senior management meetings and business reporting.

Deputising for the Chair of YRP and responsible for the helping to sell the YRP message to the rail industry through networking events and the YRP Award.

I am the Secretary for the Young Railway Professionals. The group supports a wide range of events in the railway industry to the young generation of railway professionals to facilitate networking across a broad range of groups. It also organises its own events to bring together and inspire those in the early stages of their career.

I work in the track approvals team at Metronet Rail as a Track Technical Engineer. I write track concession requests which are sent to London Underground for approval. I have to gather technical information and assess the impact the non-compliance will have on the railway. This includes risk, network performance, rolling stock, signals and maintenance.I work on technical studies for new products for the Underground track infrastructure. Activities for this include test site management, product development and producing engineering drawings.I am writing an operation and maintenance manual for a new set of points. This document will be used for training and requires working with a variety of stakeholders to satisfy all requirements.

The training scheme is based on a 3-month rotational placement regime exposing graduates to all facets of the business. Placements already completed are rolling stock engineering support, implementation of remote lift monitoring system, station refurbishment project, change management, rail test facility upgrade project and track engineering. Additional training received comprises Six Sigma, Influencing and Negotiation Skills, Leadership, Presentation Skills, Time Management, Technical Report Writing and Team Building.Acting as a University Champion to help drive graduate recruitment and raise company profile. Planning and control of budget and activities undertaken for 12 months.
