Reconfiguration, refurbishment, development and operation of a successful, 4-star, 7-bedroom bed and breakfast business in Devon. This was a great opportunity to utilise a broad section of my skills and bring significant improvement to the business.

Initially appointed by the Head of Site Utilities Group (SUG) in the role of Web Designer and database manager to develop and integrate operational systems and interfaces onto the corporate intranet, I progressed into the Business and Systems Analyst role supporting the management team in the delivery of operations, projects and programmes across the group. Appointed to the role of Project Controls by the Head of Delivery, Engineering Trials to work with the Programme Sponsor delivering projects within multi million pound scientific and engineering programmes. My final role was as Capability Engineer, responsible for the ETG integrated delivery plan, supporting the delivery of engineering trials and ensuring the ongoing capability to carry out trials including several buildings with many complex systems, plant and equipment, as part of the delivery team.

Company Secretary, Technician and half owner of a new start IT Company in Ireland between 2004 and 2006. Operations management for a family run electrical retail / wholesale business responsible for core operation of the business systems and data whilst performing many additional roles throughout a period of significant growth increasing turnover by more than €5mil between 2001 and 2006. Profit Centre Manager for Edmundson Electrical Ltd running an Electrical Wholesaler with a team of between 7 and 11, turnover of ~£1million, ~£170,000 stock and ~400 accounts. This was a continuation of my Branch Manager role for JBM Electrical following their acquisition by Edmundson’s in 1997. Won Branch of the year at JBM Electrical in1996. Merged two electrical wholesalers into a new Edmundson Electrical Profit Centre completing projects for building modifications, new plant and equipment, stock lines, rebranding, and operational transformation.
