Virtues such as courage, justice, humanity, and wisdom are the essence of good character. My research proposes that good leadership begins with good character, and therefore that virtues-development will result in leadership development. To assess this proposition, I will soon be running a project called Virtues @ Work. Virtues @ Work will provide 8-20 leaders with 2 days of virtues development training, using interviews and surveys to explore a) how leaders experience the training, and b) what outcomes result.
