Tobyn Sowden is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Redbrick where he leverages two decades of software development experience and entrepreneurial leadership to buy and build great companies that support digital entrepreneurs as they start, build, and scale their businesses.Tobyn founded Redbrick in 2011 as a proprietary software marketing platform and has since grown Redbrick from a start-up into a multi-national parent organization to a growing portfolio of companies including Animoto, Delivra, Leadpages, and Shift. Along the way, Redbrick has been ranked 5th Fasted-Growing Company in Canada and 2nd in Software by PROFIT 500 and recognized as one of Canada’s Top Small and Medium Employers for the past five years running. Tobyn is not new to entrepreneurship —prior to founding Redbrick, he founded search marketing company RedWillow Media that was later sold to performance marketing firm Neverblue where he led marketing and supported corporate development as one of their youngest executives. His experience starting and growing Neverblue’s mobile division into a $30M/year business left him with valuable and unique expertise in building, launching, growing, and acquiring award-winning companies.Outside of Redbrick, Tobyn enjoys exploring the world with his wife, Katrina, and their three sons. Tobyn currently resides in Victoria, BC.
